Badass Beard Care

Badass Beard Care is an edgy, in-your-face beard care company. They wanted to ramp up their social media content because they were lacking in the creative space. They’re typical post was a simple product photo in the shower, bathroom or outside with a location related to the scent of the product.

The Outlaw

Badass Beard Care wanted to increase awareness about their free sample promotion pack. I developed and filmed the concept of The Lemonade Stand because they wanted something a bit goofy and fun. What’s more fun than a big bearded fella giving away free stuff?! The video yielded a 77% increase in visits to the free sample page.

I was tasked to develop something that would draw interest from the viewer but wasn’t a direct play off the product scent, they wanted to showcase the lifestyle that came with it. I came up with the idea of a one-shot video depicting a tough-guy getting ready to go get what he wants and take on anyone that stood in his way. The video yielded a 45% increase in views compared to their other social media videos.

Loaded Travel Bag

The thing they really wanted to showcase about this bag was the amount of stuff you could fit inside without busting the zipper. They were having a hard time showing that because of the bag has walls and just filling it would things by hand would be a long boring video. I thought of this cool stop-motion idea to show just how much you could actually fitnside this bag while still giving a fast-paced energetic feel to keep attention on social media. This video yielded a 22% increase in sales of the bag in the month after release.

Gold Series Shaping Scissors

A pair of scissors. Not the most exciting thing in the world, but they wanted to find a new way to market them. I came up with these images that piggy-backed off their “Gold Series” label. It perfectly aligns with their strong, masculine brand tone and is a fresh way to show off the clean, sleek  craftsmanship of the product design.
