Overview:
“United We Go” is a citywide organization designed to promote safe, sustainable, and respectful transportation choices across Washington, D.C. The goal was to connect drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and other modes of transportation users under one shared message — we all move better together in harmony.
Concept & Approach:
Inspired by the look and feel of classic video games, the campaign reimagines everyday transportation interactions as part of a unified “game world” where everyone plays a role. Each action — buckling a seatbelt, checking for pedestrians, locking a scooter correctly — becomes a “power-up” that contributes to a collective win for the player. The video opens with a cinematic “game start” moment, using stylized sound design and retro-inspired motion graphics to transition from real-life D.C. scenes into a playful, immersive environment. Locations across the city — from neighborhood crosswalks to local landmarks — were chosen to highlight community connection and shared responsibility.
